Convergent Risk Symposium

Corporate security executives and government policymakers are today facing an evolving set of threats from both internal and external sources requiring new solutions to effectively manage these risks. One approach to this is to explore ways to enhance and further develop the nexus between government, business and universities to facilitate, improve and better understand, communicate and cooperate in response to these emerging threats.

The symposium on Convergent Risks to Business and Government, launched in 2009 by the International Relations Program at the University of Pennsylvania, has been bringing together thought leaders in industry, policymakers, and practitioners from the security and intelligence fields in a forum for the exchange of ideas and information about the persistent and emerging threats to national security.

Past symposium themes focused on Political Risk and Enterprise Risk, Emerging Threats and Economic Counterintelligence, Cybersecurity & Trends in Technology, and Law Enforcement and Counterintelligence.
